The Executive Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has urged the National Association of Nigerian Students, to partner with the Commission in the fight against economic and financial crimes.
He made this call while hosting executives of NANS, Joint Campus Council, Edo State Chapter at the Benin Zonal Command of the Commission Benin-City.
Olukoyede who spoke through the Benin Zonal commander, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, Kanu Idagu, urged the students leaders to see themselves as important stakeholders in the fight against economic and financial crimes.
Sharing photos via its X handle on Sunday, March 3, the post read in part: “As students leaders, you are expected to be role models in conduct, character, integrity and accountability.”
“There is no shortcut to wealth and success. Internet fraud is not a sustainable way of life. Internet fraud diminishes our image as a nation. So the Commission will continue to discharge its responsibilities within the ambit of the law, without fear or favour in this regard.”
