The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has released the sequence for the 2024 Batch ‘A’ Stream Two Orientation Course, set to commence nationwide on Wednesday, April 17th, 2024. This development comes as the Scheme prepares to mobilize One Hundred and Three Thousand (103,000) prospective corps members (PCMs) who have successfully registered for the upcoming orientation.
According to a statement signed by Eddy Megwa, the Director of Public Relations at NYSC, the decision to mobilize PCMs in batches and streams is strategic, aiming to ensure a conducive and manageable environment during the orientation exercise. This approach aligns with best practices to prevent overcrowding at the various Orientation Camps and maintain optimal health conditions for all participants.
“The Scheme strongly believes that mobilizing PCMs in Batches will not only decongest the camps but also maintain optimal health conditions in the Orientation Camps,” Megwa stated.
Prospective Corps Members who have registered but are not part of the 2024 Batch ‘A’ Stream Two exercise can anticipate receiving their call-up letters for the June 2024 Orientation Exercise. Detailed information concerning the Orientation Course will be disseminated through NYSC’s official social media channels and other traditional media platforms.
The NYSC’s mobilisation strategy aims to streamline the influx of PCMs, ensuring a smooth and efficient orientation process while prioritizing the health and welfare of all participants. As the 2024 Batch ‘A’ Stream Two prepares to kick off, prospective corps members across the country are gearing up for their service year with heightened anticipation and readiness.
