Post UTME 2024: All you need to know about OAU, UNIOSUN, FUHSI & UNILESA

It’s no longer news that JAMB concluded its UTME exam for the 2024 candidates on the 29th of April 2024. Therefore, it’s imperative to equip yourself with all the necessary information about the Post UTME of the school you have selected as your first choice on your JAMB portal.

However, Edugist has gathered information about admission process of some universities in Osun State.

1. Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU)

Obafemi Awolowo University is one of the best universities in Nigeria. OAU has its systematized method for admitting Post UTME candidates into the institution. The process is always rigorous and students take exam like that of UTME.

OAU Post UTME

The Post UTME Exam of Obafemi Awolowo University comprises of 40 questions, with English being replaced by an aptitude test, alongside the other three subjects offered in JAMB.

This comprehensive examination format ensures that candidates are evaluated across a spectrum of disciplines, preparing them adequately for the academic rigors of the university.To secure admission through the OAU Post UTME, candidates must achieve a pass mark of 25% or above in the exam.

OAU Post UTME exam is simple but tricky. This has led to the failing of many candidates due to lack of careful analysis. In 2018 only 5,600 candidate passed the exam and gained admission out of 45,000 candidates who sat for the exam. To succeed in OAU Post UTME exam, you need to prepare early, aim for a high score, practicing past questions, mastering time management and seek help for students already in the school.

OAU Post UTME Date

The date for OAU Post UTME is yet to be known but according to sources, OAU Post UTME form is likely to be released by June before or after the rain semester exam.

2. Osun State University (UNIOSUN)

Osun State University was established in 2006 by the Osun State Government under Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola’s administration. The university operates across six campuses distributed throughout the state.

UNIOSUN Admission Process

Candidates intending to gain admission into the university must note that only candidates who select the institution as their first choice, or willing to switch their institution to UNIOSUN as their first choice will be eligible for admission.

Aspirants of the university must have a minimum score of 160 marks. However, candidates scoring below 200 marks will not be considered for admission into certain programs such as Nursing, Medicine, Law, Common, and Islamic Law.

Applicants must have at least five Credit Passes in SSCE/NECO/NABTEB in relevant subjects, with not more than two sittings, except for Medicine, Nursing, and Law, where five credit passes are required at one sitting. The University also accepts a minimum of Lower credit for Direct Entry candidates.

UNIOSUN Post UTME Date

UNIOSUN Post UTME Date is yet to be announced. However, it is believed that it will announced on or before November 2024.

3. Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila Orangun (FUHSI)

The Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila Orangun (FUHSI) is a Federal University located in Ila-Orangun, Osun State.

The university was established in 2021 by the Federal Government of Nigeria with the aim of building national preparedness and resilience in anticipation of future health challenges while reducing medical tourism abroad.

FUHSI Cut-Off Mark

The cut-off mark for the FUHSI is expected to be 160 plus. As the institution is a new school, gaining admission into the school should be very easy. All you need to do is, prepare for their post UTME exam and success will be yours.

FUHSI POST UTME Date

The Post UTME Date of the university is yet to be announced but is is believed that their Post UTME Date will be announced on or before August 2024.

4. UNILESA

The University of ILESA is one of the recently established universities in Nigeria. UNILESA was established on the 27th September, 2022 when the Law of establishing the University was signed.

The University came into existence following the upgrade of the then Osun State College of Education, Ilesa to a full-fledged University.

UNILESA Cut Off Mark

To gain admission into this university, candidates must have nothing less than 160 in jamb. However, depending on the JAMB subject combination, each course has its minimum cut-off mark. Eligible candidates must have credit passes in at least five relevant subjects with not more than two sittings in SSCE, NECO and NABTEB. It is also important to note that candidates must not be less than 16 years of age.

UNILESA POST UTME Date

The date for their Post UTME has not been announced yet. Although, it is anticipated that the date will be disclosed on or before July 2024.

Note: Gaining admission into any institution in Osun State is an incredibly significant decision for every aspirant. However, it is imperative for every aspirant to prepare diligently to excel and achieve success.
