The Vice-Chancellor, University of Lagos, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, has been honoured with the 2024 Leadership Tribute Colloquium Award by the Centre for Values in Leadership.
She was recognised alongside two other distinguished individuals.
CVL initiated the Leadership Tribute Colloquium to honour outstanding sector leaders for their special contributions in the sector where they worked.
The 64th edition of the Leader Without Title Colloquium took place at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs Victoria Island, Lagos, and titled, ‘Breaking barriers, building bridges: Women leading the way in education.’
According to the Founder/CEO of the Centre for Values in Leadership, Prof. Pat Utomi, Ogunsola’s award acknowledges her remarkable contributions to tertiary education in Nigeria.
Joining Ogunsola in receiving similar honours were her counterparts at the Lagos State University, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, and the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Prof. Adenike Oladiji, were the other two awardees at the 2024 Leadership Tribute Colloquium of the Centre for Values in Leadership.
Speaking virtually, Utomi highlighted the achievements of the three Vice-Chancellors. He commended them for breaking barriers, challenging norms, and contributing significantly to university administration in Nigeria.
